Although we have completely re-designed our race car and tugboat attractions, it's fun to take a look back at what started it all...
We opened our first remote control race car attraction back in 1982. Over the years, we realized how important it is to have "fair" races. Therefore, checklists and procedures were developed to make sure top-end speed, turning radius, off-the-line speed, etc. are consistent from one vehicle to another.
In 1984, we opened the Queen's Berth, our first remote control tugboat attraction. The 22 tugboat attraction featured islands with interactive events and a scale model of the Queen Mary as the centerpiece.
